You see, I need to help my papa and mama sweep the floor every weekend. I was just 14 months old when I started 'helping out'!

I’m such a good daughter… :)

I was so excited seeing the penguin.

We moved on and followed the route. Next we came to African Wetlands. There were many big birds hanging there. Well, they certainly looked tired, just standing there and not moving.
I guessed their feather were too thick and weather was too hot for them.

I wonder what is the name of the bird.

We came to a pond after that. There were many kinds of birds in the pond. There were two white swans, but not very elegant as I expected.
There were another herd of flamingo, but this group of flamingo, seems like colour faded.
They were white and light pink in colour.

Pelican Cove was our next destination. There were many Pelican there. Pelican is my good friend. hehee.. I always remember how they help Nemo's father to find him. But this group looked very serious.


As the bird show about to start, we hurried to the Pools Amphitheatre to watch the Bird's Buddies Show. In the show, we saw my favorite Flamingo again. Hehe.. We also saw pelicans, hornbills etc. It was indeed a nice and interesting show.

We didn’t go and watch all shows in Jurong Bird Park as time not permits. We still needed to go Hollywood Dino Exhibition but the queue was still very long. No choice, we just went to queue it. I was so tired and fall asleep while queuing.

“Errrh…. Why so noisy and disturb my sleep!” I was upset as my sleep was disturbed.When I opened my eye, I saw something very big in front of my eye.
“Wah, what is that? Is this dinosaur?”
I was still blur and just woke up from my sleep, my mama already carried me and took a picture with big dinosaur.
This Hollywood Dino Exhibition overall was not that interesting. It only exhibited few big fake dinosaur and come with sound effects. Even though I was so young, I was not scared at all! Hehee...

Ah well, my first visit to Jurong Bird Park came to an end. We didn't manage to visit all the birds nor we able to catch all the shows, but I had a lot of fun, except the heat. :)

Bye bye Jurong Bird Park. I will come again next time…

Have you been Singapore Jurong bird Park before? It was fun! There are a lot of birds in Jurong Bird Park, like Flamingo, parrot, pelicans, eagles, hornbills, hawks etc . I went to Jurong Bird Park with 1 big group, including my papa, mama, popo, gong gong, 2nd ah yi, 2nd uncle, Ian koko, Yuxin jie jie, 3rd ah yi, 3rd uncle, ke yue jie jie and ke rui jie jie.

My 2nd ah yi family came to Singapore because my 3rd ah yi has just moved to new house and had house warming. But too bad, my 1st ah yi was busy and couldn’t come to Singapore. I miss yuson koko and yuxi jie jie. Never mind, I will meet them during Chinese New Year.

The weather was hot and we reached there around 12noon. WAH! There are a lot of people, as there was Hollywood Dinos Event in Jurong Bird Park and that day was the first day for this event. What’s a coincidence! We didn’t know that Hollywood Dinos Event is in Jurong Bird Park. The queue to go in Hollywood Dinos Exhibition was super long.

Ticket for adult was $13 and child was $9. Since Ian koko and Ke Yue jie jie wanted to see dinosaur, we decided to buy the ticket and to take a look what’s inside this Hollywood Dinos Exhibition. As the queue to go in exhibition is super long, we will go to Jurong Bird Park first.

After we made to the entrance, we rushed to the main area as there was a Live Performance. There were aunties and uncles dressed very pretty dancing Samba. Among the performers, there were one I liked most. It was a human sized red Pelican. It was so funny and liked to play with kids . A lot kids took photo with it. Later just realized the big red Pelican is a man in a Pelican costume.


After the show, we started our expedition in Jurong Bird Park. We were first greeted by many parrots. They were resting on the branches and waiting for visitors to take picture. The parrots seems like not scare of people. They will rest on your hand and take photo with you if you want to, for a fee. So, stingy papa and mama just brought me to the parrots and we took photo with all the parrots behind us and using our own camera.
It's free! hehe..

After the photo shooting with parrots, we moved on to the Flamingo.
I never see Flamingo before.
WAH, Flamingo is so pretty, they were so elegant!! Their colour are so bright and pretty, it is like flaming pink. And when they are in herds and standing in the pond, it is very outstanding. No wonder I can't take my eyes off the flamingo.



After that, we decided to get away from the hot sun temporary. We went on to the Penguin expedition.
At the entrance to the cooling Penguin expedition, Yuxin jie jie and I took a picture with giant penguin mannequin.
It was very dark inside the place where penguin stay. And it was cold too.
There were a lot of penguins and we only can see the penguin through the glass.
Some of the penguin were very active. They liked to jump into the pond and swim here and swim there. They swam very fast and very stylish. Very cute.

When I was 1 year old, I still remembered I only know how to talk “papa”, “mama” and “nen nen”.

When I was 13+ months old, I started learning how to walk. Walk and crawl feeling is totally different! I like to walk. You see the video below, how I learned walking. Hehe…

On my Lunar Birthday, papa and mama brought me to Marina Barrage in the afternoon. There are a lot of kids playing water at the fountain. Papa and mama also let me play the water with other kids. I was so scared of the fountain in the beginning. After a few tries, I dared to play the water from the fountain and even sit on it. It was fun!
Papa also carried me to touch the water from the fountain. The fountain is nice, right?

After playing water, papa and mama helped me to take shower and changed new clothes. Then, we took a stroll around Marina Barrage. Many people were playing kites there! We can view Singapore Flyer and Marina Bay Sands from here. But too bad, Marina Bay Sands was still under construction. I believe when Marina Bay Sands is ready and the night scene from Marina Barrage will be unbelievable!

Papa and mama, when will you bring me to take Singapore Flyer?:)

My lunar birthday is on 19th August (Lunar Calendar) which is few days after Mooncake festival. My English birthday is 18th Sept. Is a nice date right? 18/09 and 19/08. Easy to remember too. Remember to buy gift to me oh..
My popo purposely came to Singapore to celebrate my lunar birthday. Early morning, mummy helped me to wear new clothes and new shoes which bought by popo. Thanks, popo. Popo thought I am a big girl, bought such big shoes for me, how can I wear it? Until now I still haven’t wear this new shoes. But surely the shoes match my clothes. :)


My popo early morning cooked 1 bowl of mee sua for me together with 2 big drumsticks and 2 hard boiled eggs. Yummy yummy!
This was the first time I ate adult food. You see.. I couldn’t wait to take the drumstick and eat! Yummy! WAH, adult food is so nice! Although I had 2 teeth then, I never hesitate when tempted with such big drumstick. My mummy just let me eat a bit only, though they took the picture of me eating drumstick.
The whole bowl of mee sua and big drumsticks were then eaten by my greedy papa and mama. :)


There is a tradition where baby needs to choose one item from a few selected items on 1st lunar birthday. My mama prepared the items as shown in the picture (modern and new version) and put in front of me. Then asked me to crawl over and chose 1 item. Every item has different meaning oh..
